How It Works
Mod Mutt Salon is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We do grooming services by appointment only. To prevent over-booking, we do not offer walk in grooming service. Appointments are scheduled by day and time availability. We will text you 30 minutes before your pet is finished, you have 90 minutes after you receive the text to pick-up your pet. If you need a specific pick-up time, just let us know when you drop off, we offer after grooming day care to our clients.
Please Curb Your Dog Before Coming In To The Salon
Please take your dog to the grass when you arrive, allowing them to relieve themselves. Car rides, and coming into a business can be exciting. We provide dog waste bags, and a waste station outside. While many dogs are accustomed to “holding it” we generally do not take dogs outside (unless your pet exhibits signs of needing to relieve themselves).
Take notice of when your dog is trying to leave the salon in the morning. Yes, your pup wants to be with you, but when they pull away from even you attempting to go outside, they probably have to do their business. We understand accidents happen, and do not charge our clients a clean up fee, but it takes time to sanitize the area, and re-bathe your dog. Please be considerate, and take a moment to curb your pup.
Cats in the salon are offered a litter box during their break periods.
Vaccine Requirements
We highly encourage pets to be current on all vaccines. State law requires the Rabies vaccine be up to date on your pet. Bordetella (kennel cough) for dogs or Distemper (FVRCP) for cats are required for our salon because it’s so highly contagious/dangerous to dogs and cats. If it’s your first time with us, you can submit the shot records through email: modmuttsalon@gmail.com. We cannot accept the rabies tag as current proof. A rabies tag does not have your pet’s name on it, and does not state whether it’s a 1 year or a 3 year vaccine with an expiration date.
The Take Away
Once you hit the submit button, you will receive an email confirming submission for your request. You will receive another email when your request has been approved. If for any reason we can’t accommodate your desired date and time, we will contact you to find a better appointment day. For new clients: in order to secure your appointment, we need to have the current vet records submitted ahead of time of your pet’s appointment. If you have any questions, please give us a call (512)436-8398. You can view our pricing online, and check out our FAQ for more information.
